Every Day Workspace

Edited Photo:

On this photo I cropped part of the top and right side of the photo. After that I turned it into black and white. Next, I dodged some of the highlights and the midtones. The seasoning containers got dodged a little and little part of the cup in the foreground.
Then adjusted the levels a little. Finally, I dodged part of the chair and the table a bit. I liked this photo a lot because its what my daily workspace usually looks like. I thought that the setup of the objects were good as well. This is a good example of a diaristic or autobiographical still life.

Board Games

Edited Photo:

I turned this photo into black and white. After that I dodged some of the boxes and the text on the boxes. Also, I dodged some of the wood on the shelves. Then, adjusted the levels a little. Finally I cropped a little of the right side of the photo which wasn't needed. I just really liked this photo because of its a collection of games that collected over time and I like all the path ways there are. Also its a still life in a way.

Bi-Polar

I chose this photo because I think I captured two realistic emotions that occur in manic people. What I did to this photo was convert it to black and white. Adjusted the levels and increased the sharpness.

1942

This photo reminded me of a war torn area of Germany.

Erica

I chose this photo because it reminded me of when I proposed to my wife. It was just her and I alone in the park, sitting at a picnic table.
I chose to take this picture because I wanted to create a "meditative" or "calm" space. Candles always seem calming so I chose to have a simple picture with just the candles in them. I changed the levels a little to bring out the candles more by having a dark background

River

I like this photo because there was only one spot in the river where the ice had melted around the rocks and you could see it flowing.
